What is the Cost of a Self-Centered Existence?

A self-centered existence is one that puts me and my ego first, where materialistic possessions are sought as a means to an end. This can be an expensive life, not just in terms of money but also in wasted opportunities for true purpose and liberation.

The cost of being solely focused on yourself is often great; it may mean missing out on meaningful connections with others or experiences that could have brought joy. Self-absorption can limit our growth and prevent us from realizing our full potential, making us slaves to our own desires rather than true masters of ourselves.

Living a life that concentrates only on oneself can leave us feeling unfulfilled and isolated; while the search for external validation may bring temporary satisfaction, it cannot provide lasting peace or contentment.
